Bird Netting

Whites Bird Netting is an economical netting with a wire diameter of 0.56mm and a small hexagon aperture of 13mm. It is light duty, making it ideal for use in bird enclosures, as a guard against vermin, and also popular for craft use.

It is made from galvanised steel wire for strength and additional protection from the weather.

It comes standard in 50m packs and is available in convenient 2m, 5m and 10m packs for smaller jobs.

Note: It is recommended that new galvanised wire mesh used in aviaries and pet cages be treated to remove excess zinc that could possibly harm the pets. Shave off any zinc spikes with a utility knife. The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water), and rinsed with clean water.

The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water) and rinsed with clean water.
Beware of coil when opening roll. Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling.

Whites Supa-Net is made from bi-oriented plastic to create a safe protective net that is high in strength and lightweight.
The fine mesh is virtually invisible when installed. Its high tensile strength means it can be made lighter and less obtrusive than traditional plastic netting, yet still retain its robustness. It's easy to cut and shape and is installed using staples or loop ties.

So many uses:

Plant support
Rigid enough to use as a trellis on walls and fences
Light-weight garden fencing and partitioning

Handy Hints:

Animals may be able to chew through plastic netting.

Whites Tomato Mesh allows tomato bushes to grow naturally. The large 150mm square aperture provides easy access to fruit, prevents rotting and there is no need for tying.

Manufactured from galvanised wire, it can also be used as a Trellis for climbing plants.

Handy Hint:

Tomato frames are self-supporting. Simply form a ring around the plant and grow your tomato plant through the ring's centre. As a guide, a 10m roll of Tomato Mesh will make 7-8 tomato frames.

The graduated mesh is available in 120cm or 180cm high, with smaller apertures at the base to fence puppies and smaller animals.

Whites Pro Series Heavy Duty Dog Mesh is made from a 2mm galvanised steel wire, featuring heavier 2.2mm wire at top and bottom. This mesh offers a robust combination of strength and reliability.

With smaller apertures at the bottom, the graduated mesh is an ideal fence for medium sized dogs. For strong, muscular or more aggressive dogs, we recommend Chain Wire Mesh.

It is recommended that new galvanised wire mesh used in aviaries and pet cages be treated to remove excess zinc that could possibly harm pets. Shave off any zinc spikes with a utility knife. The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water) and rinsed with clean water.
Beware of coil when opening roll. Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling.
When constructing a pet enclosure, try Whites steel Ultraposts for a strong and sturdy frame, securing the netting with tie wire or netting clips. Alternatively, Whites Garden Posts offer a unique lug fixing method for attaching netting.
